You'll be seeing the badge above all during May. I've signed on to participate in a Blogathon. No way I can run in one of those multi-mile marathons, but this one I can do. Michelle V. Rafter is the person who coordinates the blogathon project through her website Word Count.
The idea is to blog every day during the month of May. That's 31 days without stopping. There are 150 bloggers signed on. All are hoping to make the full month but some may drop out along the way or miss a day here and there. I hope to make the finish line.
May offers a plethora of subjects to write about. The list below might trigger a few memories for your next memoir piece or to add to your family stories notebook. Maybe you can compose a poem that fits into this month. How about an essay on what one of the days on the list means to you? There are several directions you might take.
1. May 1st is May Day
2. May 1st is Law Day
3. Second Sunday in May is Mother's Day
4. Graduation
5. Memorial Day
6. Cinco de Mayo on May 5th
If you would like to see the full list of special days in May, look here. If you're really into asparagus, you can celebrate all during May. You won't believe the number of things on this list.
Glad you hopped onto the Blogathon, Nancy! It will be a ride!
